October 2010 Despite the gloomy overcast day and lack of light, the colours at Westonbirt Arboretum were fabulous, especially the Japanese Maples. The recent rainfall had enhanced the colours. Well worth a visit and a pair of muddy shoes and trousers! Click here to view more images from Westonbirt.
September 2010 One of several impressive waterfalls encountered on a walk in the Brecon Beacons in Wales. The soft afternoon light was just perfect for bringing out the autumn colours.
August 2010 Well... August wouldn’t be complete without a shot of the Red Arrows would it?!! Sadly though the Bournemouth Air Festival was a complete washout this year, hence this shot was taken at Weymouth!
July 2010 Choosing a wide aperture and focussing on the flower top left gave me the lovely soft out-of-focus effect I was looking for in the foreground flowers. Taken at Killerton Gardens, Devon.

May 2010 My first ever trip to Scotland! Up at the crack of dawn to capture the beautiful reflections in Loch Tay from the private beach just five minutes walk from our lodge! Bliss!
April 2010 Whilst strolling alongside the River Exe in Exeter, Devon, I stopped to grab a shot of this restored maratime buoy. I was drawn to the vibrant colours of the sky and the red interior, choosing a diagonal composition for added impact.
March 2010 To enhance this otherwise fairly dull picture of a male mallard I gave it some texturising treatment in Photoshop!
February 2010 Another weather shot! These early morning sunrays were enhanced by the mist rising from the stream in Bournemouth Gardens.
January 2010 Whilst framing up these colourful beach hut reflections, this jogger obligingly appeared in my picture from the left, adding a little human interest to my shot! A timely entrance!
December 2009 Not a masterpiece by any means... just snapped this in the pouring rain outside my local B&Q store, whilst gearing up for a bit of DIY in the absence of any decent weather for photography!
November 2009 With only one day left till the end of November, I still had nothing suitable for my picture of the month! Hence I felt the need to drag myself along Poole Quay for an hour. In the end I decided this shot - taken after I returned to the car - summed up November pretty well for me... grey and wet!
